Le Marais was originally a vast swamp, and it was only in the 13th century thatconvents started to be built there and the beginnings of a cultural scene emerged. Place Royal (now Place des Vosges ) , was created in 1612 under Henri IV and immediately Le Marais became a fashionable quarter. Sumptuous mansions were built there in the French style, which now house its numerous salons. After the death of Henri IV (assassinated by Ravaillac) and the arrival on the throne of Louis XIII, Le Marais was abandoned by the bourgeoisie and became home toartisans and light industry. In recent times the area has undergone numerous restorations and the architectural treasures to be found there are once again displayed to their advantage, it is a quarter that has regained its charm and a place of unforgettable visits. Le Marais in 1657.

The flat was charming and bigger and better than expected. The location is very central but not too touristy. It can be a little noisy in the day because of the school across the street but it wasn't a problem for us at all. Clara made sure there was everything we needed in the flat including little shampoos and soap. She even let us check in early. I would definitely rent from 1WeekFlat again, and recommend it to all my friends. It's definitely the best way to see Paris ! Thank you Clara for making my first trip to Paris so wonderful.

Our stay could not be more pleasant. We have been warmly welcomed by Clara who gave us loads of information about the area. The apartment was above our expectations. Really nice, calm and sunny and our 2years old daughter was happy to find a small chair, a nice game and a book for children. The area was very convenient to go on foot to a lot of nice Parisian places. Robert - USA
This flat was very close to the Metro, within walking distance of many of the sights of Paris and with cafes and food stores close by. The beds were comfortable, the shower delightful and the flat stayed warm despite the winter chill. Clara was very helpful with her orientation, her knowledge of the neighbor hood and city and made herself available when needed.
Leandros - GREECE Clara was wonderfull. She was nice and helpful, on time to give us the keys and tell us everything. She was very polite and informative. The apartment was really great too as we had practically everything in our doorstep. Supermarket, and the center of Paris. 10 minutes to Ile de cite, 2 minutes from the louvre and a whole road of shops!
Terrence - USA Overall a nice and spacious flat. Clara was very helpful at getting us settled in and explaining all the ins and the outs of renting a flat in Paris, and the particulars about where we were staying. Very pleased. This was my first experience and I was skeptical but this has proven to me that this is safe and works great.
