This smart district of Paris is marked by an importantnumerous of monuments as "Les Invalides" and the Eiffel Tower.Numerous Mansions dating the XVIIIth century, were built in this district whichshelters the head office of administrations today.

The institution of "Les Invalides " dating Louis XIVaimed to help the old soldiers disabled persons who were reduced or to betreated in convents or to beg. In 1670 was thus created the institution of"Les Invalides " which welcomes very quickly a high number of woundedsoldiers. The plans were realized by Liberal Bruant ; the construction endsonly in 1676. The Dome which is on the top of the church is the work of JulesHardouin Mansart and answers perfectly to the concern of Louis XIV to show allthe magnificence of its reign.

The Church St-Louis of " Les invalides " whoseconstruction was before the Dome is the work of Mansart and we hung fordecoration all the flags taken to the enemy.

The major bend in the historyof " Les Invalides" is the transfer of Napoleon's ashes on December15th, 1840 which will be collected in the grave built by Visconti.
